Thread regarding Meta / Facebook layoffs

META LAYOFFs HAVE STARTED TODAY!

Meta layoffs have officially started today with managers today notifying hundreds of staff their days are officially counted. Good luck to all. I hope META goes the way of MySpace. It’s a sh-t company and most people are sick of their “friends” on there posting pictures of their travels and what they’re having for dinner. I mean, who gives a F what you’re going to po-p the next day. METASUCKSASS!

This is why Assbook is laying off workers:
"A laid-off Meta worker says the company paid her to not work: They were 'hoarding us like Pokémon cards'"

"most people are sick of their “friends” on there posting pictures of their travels and what they’re having for dinner"

If they were sick of it, why would "most of those" people still a) have a Facebook account and b) choose to follow people who annoyed them?

Since they cut the wellness from 3k to 2k and no more dinner on Friday. We all know more perks and people will be cut.

That said, Zuck wants all his billions dollar back so that he can feed his new born third kid.

Too bad, we are all in the Zuck's sinking ship.

@aid+1lzGXXGP maybe if your reading encompassed more than the Bhagavad Gita or the latest Bollywood review, you might realize that the usage of "think on" in that context is perfectly fine.

think on

maybe if you were intelligent enough to comprehend basic grammar you would have been valuable enough to keep your job.

When you get older and look back, as you will do, think on how much time and all of the heartbeats you wasted hating a place that you were free to leave at a time of your choosing. Don't get me wrong, I did the same thing until I was forced to change my perspective & life due to severe medical conditions that I helped bring on to myself. Thirty plus years in IT and IT consulting with a major corporate meatgrinder did a lot to get me in my current situation - and with my money chasing consent.

I hope you're find yourself in a position to make a change for the better - keeping in mind that the money-trap is a ki-ler in situations like this - and get past whatever is keeping you in a place you despise. After a point in your life it does get significantly harder to change as you get older due to your growing responsibilities and the fact that opportunities diminish as I'm sure you're reading on this forum.

I honestly wish all of you the best of luck navigating work and life in these times. Keep in mind anger comes from fear so figure out what you're fears are and act accordingly. It's not easy but then what is without risk?

I apologize for the sermon......We just need to take a look at what we are becoming and treat each other decently and with basic human respect. That not only helps others but it helps ourselves more than people realize. And yes, I can say this knowing how people are behaving and how the world is today. Let's be thinking people and not the monsters we sometimes work and live with.

Yes, but did you feel that way BEFORE the layoffs?
