It seems like this is an annual event with LifePoint, if not semi-annual. I've never seen a company that likes to promote people and then let go of them a year later, or create a new position and then eliminate it. It's like their business plan is to throw it at the wall and see what sticks. If you get promoted but don't have any direct reports, beware, because the layoff grim reaper will come for you sooner or later.
I hope not. I knew the moment a meeting popped up on my Teams and HR was invited it wasn’t good. Literally was just hired!
