Are this week's layoffs going to affect only the low performers? I'd like to think that would always be the case but considering that we lost some great people in the last round of layoffs I'm not taking anything for granted. I did hear this would be performance-based, as it should be. I'm trying to see if anybody else heard anything similar.

If a lot of companies disappeared tomorrow the world wouldn't notice. If a lot of bloated government jobs dissapeard tomorrow the world wouldn't notice. It has nothing to do with the fact there are actual people who have a strong work ethic. Your comment is meaningless.
@2fid+1lwS852e please understand that there is strategic value to corporate interests in certain people beyond their ability to write leet C++ or python. Do you understand? Or did you buy into the bullsh-t about "learn to code and you'll have life long employment"? Sorry child!
