Top performers, top-skills, remote workers are in the crosshairs. we are told that we can replace them with workers in India. When did it become India Business Machines? This is going to hurt the clients more than anything else.

What's new? Nothing... layoffs is the only thing has to make its numbers... so, it will continue until this company is completely destroyed.
I actually think there is some truth to this one based on some recent developments on my team. Definitely on alert.
For services Kyndryl actually published their staffing model just as they were spinning off from IBM. 8-10% on shore, and 8-10% near shore. Everything else was off shore Given that IBM is currently 260k (160k consulting, 70k SW, and 30k infrastructure) that gives you a NA population goal of 50-60k. 10% of 160 = 16, 33% of 70 = 23k, and 50% of 30K = 15. 16 + 23 + 15 = 54k If IBM spins off the non-enterprise portion of infrastructure, you would be down approx 6-8k thus NA goal is slightly below 50k
