Now that we know layoffs will continue, I wonder how long will the leadership keep us stuck in limbo, unable to relax due to pending layoffs, and unable to move on either? If there is one thing I hate, it's when we're made to stress over things for no good reason. This is affecting both morale and productivity, so I don't understand how they can keep doing it.

VP of our org told that layoff is finished in our group and US site. Do not make rumors

Same VP will eat his sentences in next months.
I do no such thing.
Good to hear the good lord laid out a path for you. TSMC is a fine company and Phoenix is a wonderful city. Praise the lord and he will lead you to the places where he thinks you need to be.
TSMC just offered me almost double what I was making at Micron. Phoenix here I come!
Remember drink the Koolaid... You are lucky to have a high stress low paying job. There are only about 100 million better places to work out there.be grateful and never turn down the Kool aid... Oh yah!!@!
Lessons to be learned from the recent layoff:
- Don't get a 2 on your performance evaluation (ever) or if you do challenge it or you better work your bu-t off afterwards to improve immediately.
- Be careful who you talk s*** to. At will employment means you can be terminated for any reason at any time (US law). Can an M3 or VP put you on a layoff list because they don't like you? Yes. And you have no way to prove it nor do you have a multi-million dollar attoney to fight it.
- Departments that specialize in only one area (for example NOR or NAND, 3D NAND i.e) you better be sure you are the Top Performer when (NOR or NAND) isn't selling. If it doesn't make dollars it doesn't make "cents."
- If you make $150k or more. You better be producing. It is not enough to say you were loyal to the company for 15 or 20 years if in the last 2-3 years you have not contributed. Maybe you were a rockstar for the for 10 years...what are you doing now? If you are a being a "bench warmer until retirement" expect to leave with a box.
- Learn new skills, new software, certifications, new tools and give new contributions without your boss having to tell you to. It's called being independently proactive.
- More layoffs are likely (in the next 4-6 months) coming due to current Stock prices and Micron's Quarterly earning driven by the lackluster MacroEconomy. If you care about your job your should be religiously following both, if so you can predict layoffs before they are announced (duh).

Yes, done for now. No reason not to believe it is the case.
But, “market situation changes”, “business needs”, bla-bla-bla….

Until they have us completely at unease. In the bigger picture it is best to keep us blaming each other for our unhappiness and the problems which we all suffer. The goal is to keep us all divided 50/50. Keep funneling money to the top. Check out Citizens United. Best way to cut through this is to find another job and take a proactive approach. Realize that we are being manipulated. If at all possible try to break free from what you have seen and are hearing. It's a mirage. There is no caring about people from corporate leaders. The news is no longer news, just a way to keep us all against each other and voting for the futures of those who are already in power.
