At least they seriously looked at moving the HQ to the USA, I wish they followed through with it. I don't see how Shell can ever compete with XOM or CVX while dealing with European investment mentality. If Europe wants to go back to the dark ages, let them, but we need to move forward. Shell needs to be based in the US if it wants to survive.
Shell has always been a reactionary company - we like to follow the lead of other Euro majors, especially BP and their horrendously nearsighted ideas.
Agree. Strategy in Shell has been terrible. Getting out of most unconventional assets at the absolute worst time and betting all on Deepwater exploration with limited success to show for it so far.
