The Bill signed during the month of January 2023 amending the New Jersey Warn Act does not take effect until April 10, 2023. The amended law requires severance of at least one week pay for every year of service and an additional four weeks of severance if the employee does not receive the full 90 days of notice.

The New Jersey 2023 Warn Notice (https://www.nj.gov/labor/assets/PDFs/WARN/2023_WARN_Notice_Archive.pdf) references 377 workforce affected or laid off for BB&B with an effective date of April 09, 2023. They will release as many people as possible prior to the April 10, 2023 effective date of the amendment to the New Jersey Warn Act thereby eliminating the mandatory severance pay.

I wonder how much it cost the company in paper and postage to send the letters out? Yeah, I'm sure they're legally obligated to do it, but still...

Just another example how the company never has money to take care of the everyday people yet they always seem to find enough to pay some jabroni $750k a year for who knows what, some board member turned consultant 30k per month ( which was paid in advance) not to mention all of the golden parachute's for the other executives. Then you have SG's separation agreement which further proves they're all in bed together. And speaking of SG, maybe someone on one of these earnings calls should ask her that if the company is in such a cost cutting mode looking to save a buck wherever they can, why is she spending the week at the most expensive hotel near the corporate office, taking a limo service ( not an uber, lyft, etc), to the office every morning, then flying back to Texas on weekends running up the company credit card on steak dinners for large groups? That's something I'm sure every employee and shareholder would be curious to hear.

First, the warn act does not mean you get 2 months salary. The warn act is there for that reason. If they did not report the layoffs to warn then you might be guaranteed something. Also for the person talking about raises...I really hope you are joking. There is zero chance of getting a raise. That could be the d umbest comment yet on this entire board and that is saying a lot.

Are you suprised? Of course it's legal. I'm not counting on severance either. I'm taking control of my future. I have two interviews next week.

You guys didn’t provide enough results to deserve a match in 2022. Work harder this year!

I hate to be the bearer of news, but according to the WARN filings, in NY May 1st/2nd, and in NJ probably 3/28 or 4/9 -- maybe 5/1 is when mass the layoffs will likely happen. They would be required to give 2 months salary under WARN

Of course it’s legal. Believe me, they can’t afford a huge lawsuit. This was iron clad before they put it out there

I really shouldn’t be surprised, but I was just hoping for some last shred of decency. They have given us absolutely zero incentive to be anything but the most basic of employees. I will have zero guilt collecting a paycheck while doing nothing more than the bare minimum.
