My question how long it takes to received an offer letter.

After a month of the date of my interview, they launched my pre-onboarding tasks to complete online. The issue id that I have not received any offer letter yet. My question how long it takes to received an offer letter.

Another reason for the delay might be that the offer level (salary code and\or salary level) may require higher management approval. So maybe it is taking time for the offer letter to be routed to the high level person. A month is a bit long though. However, the fact you have been asked to do some onboarding stuff is a very positive sign. Generally, it can take time. If you like the opportunity then it’s good to be patient. Best of luck.

The hiring manager has three buttons he can push after interviewing you: hire, hold, do not hire. If he pushed hire, you will get the offer letter in a few days. If he pushed do not hire, you will get a rejection letter. If he pressed hold, he is waiting for somebody better but doesn't want to turn you down yet. You can be on hold for months and hear nothing. Don't bother doing anything else until the letter comes, because it may never come.

Months. Then more months after you attempt to renegotiate the inevitable derisory offer they will make.
