@2hzg+1lqSWQSg no, you can't hire indians and Chinese with the right rate because the H1-B is capped. you can have 85k H1-B per year. 65k for everybody and 20k with high degree exception. Considering that Microsoft, amazon, google, facebook will hire back a bunch, plus all the other companies, you are lucky if you can get 500 H1-B per year.
that's why all the logic of cutting people is wrong in the first place.

That big fab in boise is years out. They’ll recruit from India, house them and their families in high density, subsidized apartments near site or in mountain home.. who is ready to make their city home to micron fab employees.

SAS? Sure, they and TSMC, Intel, TI, IBM, etc all will try to grab some of the cast off talent... much better than NCGs and Micron pay is still so low whatever they offer will sound so good!
