I’ve recently been tasked with improving the bridal business in our store. I wanted to reach out to the group to see what everyone else is doing to drive registries in your store. I know a good bridal business can increase store sales as much as 20% so I’m hoping to get some ideas on how to promote this in our store. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Make sure to add some fine China. That always brings up your bridal scorecard! Your district CS will love you for it!
I really hope for the sake of the sanity of the OP that this is a tongue in cheek post.
Good luck. I sincerely wish you well. The reality is that with the way things are now, I just don't see anything salvageable.
Considering how important registry and college was to BBBY, things really hit the skids since I left in early 2020. They were so important to the business before then. THAT part is sad. a ton of wasted effort to develop that business only to see it trashed.
What's bridal?
"No we don't have any showerheads, vanity mirrors, or mattress pads, but can I interest you in a simply essential toilet paper reserve?"
No we don't have any irons, toasters, crockpots, or nespresso machines, but can I interest you in an our table pie shield? How about an our table muddler?
You can scan it on the app after resetting your password 36 times. OOPS! Something went wrong! Call 1-800 so they can create a case and toss it in a black hole because we all know they will never call you back.

Actually the scanners were like the 80s COUs up front and ended up being the same things we used for inventory in 2018 or so. But you are correct, way beyond their drop dead date.
It used to be funny listening in to those guided walks, which still occurred in 2019 or so. Any moms going along would be saying "just because you ASK for it doesn't mean you'll GET it". Yet we would have ex consultants come in and brag about how much they rang up on wish lists. It was a bit pie in the sky.
Eventually they went to scanning on phones with an app. And without the suggested selling aspect.
But we really always did our best for people with purple paper. This was once a go to place for registries.
I remember a time when there were specifically trained bridal associates....people that would walk with the couple, offer anything they needed, even held specific bridal registry events. Purple paper so customers shopping could be identified by associates and helped accordingly. Fine china for those high dollar registries.
I assume this post is a joke though, and if it's not....so sorry to you 😂 there is no product, the scanners used were outdated a decade ago, there is no customer service, and anything ordered online is most likely never going to arrive or arrive broken
Tough task indeed. Since 90% of the very few customers in most of our stores now are either old, or very old ( only people left who don't shop online or elsewhere) I would imagine even fewer are bridal or registry candidates.
Why would anyone register at bbby knowing that if they received duplicate or damaged items they would have a hard time returning them for credit?
Bridal? This term has been long gone! The preferred name changed to “Registry” Let me guess you some day are being trained to be the District Customer Service Manager as well!
🙄
The level of loyalty this company has deserves an Oscar! 😂
Good for you!!! I love your positive vibe. It’s people like you that the company needs to make the turn around! Bridal was a huge part of our success and I hope we can get back to that level again! You keep the focus and I’ll keep it with you!!!!
Sorry, but even the knot took them off their website. Sent any bbb registries a email saying they would not show bbb on their website.
The bridal business that once was, will never be again I doubt. We have had 2 bridal registrants in 6 mo.
But, hey.. good luck to ya!
Send them to target
🤣🤣🤣
Lmao. This is the best thing I've heard in a minute. What would they even scan? Will all their items be from marketplace? Had a couple come in a couple weeks ago and it was so uncomfortable knowing we had nothing to offer.
Is this a joke?
