With the ELT announcement of hiring Freeze as part of Focus and hinting for reduction, is there layoffs coming soon?

End of April, followed up by ELT Town Hall in early May. Also, discussions around IC and/or RSU restructuring to "incentivize" staff to perform.
Sure, if I underperformed go ahead and lay me off. Like I said it’s business, I’m an adult I get it and responsible for my actions. What I don’t like is people who perform and get let go, and before you chime in, people know if they are worth their salt or not. Don’t try to put lipstick on a pig when you know that pig is heading to auction.
So you’re putting up your hand to be laid off then? Or are you assuming you’re one of the anointed untouchables? It’s ‘business’ doesn’t justify toying with people or dumping loyal hardworking employees on the streets due to horrible management. That’s how you destroy a corporate culture and ki-l morale.
All this talk about dragging this out, mental health, seriously, get over it. This is business, the real world, nobody cares about your feelings, they care about the bottom line not about your Starbucks coffee breaks in the tower. Mental health is your problem, not the company’s, they pay you to do a job nothing more, nothing less.
This new management us a JOKE
They are dragging the company down
Managers are hiring their relatives and friends.

4 months to drag this out? Is that strategic, hoping that people leave on their own in that time period to save on severance? What is with these constant cycles of hire and lay off? The company was so stable from 2000 to 2015, now it’s a gong show toying with peoples mental health with these endless off on cycles. How many “leaders” have had to lay off people in their teams only to be laid off on the next round? Fear should be added to the corporate values.
They're destroying what was once a beauty.
As they say, this whole circus will complete by June which is basically an invitation to the staff to go in hibernation mode for the next 4 months and do the bare minimum.
I miss Tracy, said no one ever.
I miss Russ :(
Probably 3-4 weeks per year of service?
Whats the buy out in average ?
chief offshoring officer is gone
Anyone got any good strategies to get canned without losing your package? Put up some odd posters in their office? Ride the bull in the lobby? I guess the old stress leave trick might work?
Same pay but way more work
They have to first make it so miserable for everybody that they quit to reduce the buy out packages.
I hope they layoff some more experienced people, there are still a few competent people that they need to pay to get rid of. You can’t have the Gen Z and Millenials being showed up.
