Corporate is giving a discretionary bonus. Wonder what they take to pay for it. Payroll? Positions? Specialist Bonus? They never give without taking something. Melvin should not be trusted.

An occasional bonus doesn't fly when you annual raise can't keep up with cost of living. I'm sick of seeing Melvin talk like he is the Man for the Employees. While he has done dome good things; it was because he had too. You can't keep the company running if you have no tenured help. Go to a Lowe's store and see how many people are still there that have 5+ years experience. If customers are fine with that, they go to Home Depot. Besides, with his holier than thou attitude why trust him. He said he was not a fan of arrogance when he first came on. Then he emailed about the how he and the CIO agreed that the CIO would no longer be with the company. Arrogance at its finest.
Let the party begin your leaving. You right you can vent on here good or bad. The reality of retail is not longevity unfortunately. That is just the way it is and the isn’t anything anybody can do about it. The job is tough only made worse but irrational customers. The company isn’t just able to hand out pay raises that make everybody happy especially you.
"Aren't u tired of free money." Look if you like your position so much then is why is your happy a-s on here mouthing off. People can vent if they want to. Doesn't give you the right to just chime in with your nonsense. I have been with the company a long time and Lowe's has done employees dirty too many times when it comes to money. The raises aren't keeping up with cost of living. Marvin can talk all he wants; but he is a tool of the stockholder. I am happy to be out of Lowe's in two weeks for better things. For the employees who choose to stick it out with Lowe's, I hope something good comes out of it. My store is a sixty million volume. When I leave there will be less than 5 people there that have over ten years tenure. I think that speaks volumes.
Aren’t u getting tired of free money? This is like the 10th time or so he has given away money to the employees. You’re the type of person that has to complain about something from a positive. Why stick around if all you do is complain, you can go somewhere else get no bonuses and complain about that.
Maybe some of this has to do with Home Depot announcing a $15/hr. Minimum starting wage nationwide.
Get ready for no toilet paper, soap, paper towels, no a/c and getting sent home early
Comes to 19 cents per hour for full time employees. We would do much better with a union.
Melvin can't even manage his piggy bank let alone a $100 billion corporation.
Maybe if marvelous Marvin would stop giving out money, revenue would be up and the stock wouldn’t have fallen like it did on 3/1
