Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

I'm positively surprised

I have to say, I didn't think I'd see the day when Fritz would finally be seen for the fraud he is and get removed from UP. Not only that but to see the stock price go up significantly after he stepped down is charry on top of the already delicious cake. I'm now cautiously optimistic about the future.

OP wouldn’t be talking like this if he had any idea what’s in store for us if Vena is appointed CEO. Fritz was bad, but it’s getting ready to be 10 times worse.

What? Hey OP, I really wouldn't get your hopes yet. Fritz being removed from the company is a fine thing, but it's who the board selects to fill that spot is what everybody should be concerned with. The investors want Vena to take over, and that's just really bad news all over. The company is a hot mess because of what Fritz and Vena both did. Fritz had his chance to turn it around after Vena left, but decided to keep riding the PSR rails. Hearings after hearings should've been a clue that his days were numbered. Fritz is being forced out by the investors. He's not leaving willfully. Check out the earnings call transcripts from January, and you'll see that the succession planning was brought up just over a month ago. This was not a long time in the making as Fritz described in a letter to the company. The cherry(not charry)isn't on a delicious cake like you described. It's been placed on a sh1t sandwich that's being prepared, and is about to be served if the investors get their way with the company.

I know people in my yard faces dropped when they found out Vena might be our new CEO. Like here we go again. And already talking about finding new jobs when they close the yard.

Vena will be 100 times worse than Fritz ever was. When Vena gets installed, probably more than 1/2 of the employees will be gone throughout the system.Whats left, Vena will expect all of you to do 10 times the workload and have it done quicker. You people haven't seen anything yet.

And have Jim Vena be your CEO and fire more than half of the workforce.
