Thread regarding Blackbaud Inc. layoffs

I hate this

I quit my old job to join Blackbaud a little over six months ago. I had no idea then how quickly I'd have to worry about my job. While I survived this last round, I know people who have been here about the same time as I who were let go. Now I'm constantly worried if it'll be my turn in the next round. It's ki-ling my productivity and hurting my mental health. I hope we get news soon that it's over.

It won’t get better and there is going to be no news from the ELT. Look at the public filings and their aggressive nature of rule of 40 vs the actuals. There will be another RIF in 2023, and it will be to ensure golden parachutes for the ELT. Just know that employees are cannon fodder to the ELT to ensure they get theirs. If you know this it is empowering and you can make your exit plan. Things will not get better, but you will just be getting to a place of complacency. Good luck. I’ve been on two interviews so far, and I hope good news is coming to all of you soon. I will be absolutely ecstatic to put in my notice. Good luck to you all. Make your chess move before the ELT does, and do it soon.

Do yourself a favor and start searching NOW. I was in the same boat as you, new to BB and then 6 months later, laid off. The market is much more friendly to people who are currently employed. Recruiters are actually asking me "Are you still employed"?, and then proceed to give me a salary range that is 40% below what I was making at BB. You will have no leverage. Start searching, because this ELT gives zero fu--s about anything other than their shareholders and their stock vests.
