Dave L., much like his brother, is a Chevy dressed up like a Cadillac and paid like a Mercedes. He literally provides no values aside from being the mouthpiece of Bernard - echoing his every statement. If I was ever asked by someone as to what he does, I would summarize it by saying “he talks about work and gets paid handsomely not to form any unique thoughts or make independent decisions. It is a tireless role to avoid work and decisions at all cost, a true art form.” They should make Dave redundant, because everyone he does is redundant. Perhaps he can join his brother and start a consulting firm on how to avoid hard decisions. BP could use the money they save and put it toward the build out of more affinity groups which will grow Mark Crawford’s remit. He needs to upgrade his $1.5 million house - daddy needs a new bag. Better yet, BP can use the funds to offset future write-downs in their wind and solar portfolios.
