When I got let go from Google last month, I was upset as is normal, but decided, hey, let's see what else is out there. So, I did. I just kept moving and didn't let losing my job at Google cut too deeply.

Wah. No really. The s-b stories coming out of Google is obnoxious. It happens people and just because you worked at Google doesn't make you special. Linkedin is now filled with these stories. People writing their whole life story and oh-how-sad they are and how they are so devastated.

My advice to these people is to understand that most people get laid off sometime in their careers, sometimes more than once. No future employer is going to care about your s-b story. Maybe Google does a poor job of introducing their employees to reality.
