Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Blowes James Bond

There is a Regional Vice President who fancies himself a superhero/secret agent. He sneaks into various stores on his hitlist and proceeds to videotape via his cellphone the few associates who happen to be working. His favorite method of taping is using the reflection off of the dorm sized refrigerators to catch employees not conforming to "power hour". If it wasn't so pathetic, it would be funny. This is the latrine this mess has devolved into. Yikes.

This has to be one of the fine Regional leaders we got from SEARS. I will never understand why the company hired so many people from SEARS. They lack any technology skills, expect to have layers and layers of staff to support them and refuse to learn anything beyond what they learned in the good ole days.

Why wouldn't the regional just ask the AP to show cameras? Seems like this Regional might just be old, bored and looking for deflection from himself. Gotta be in the midwest!

So, there are security cameras recording everyone 100% of the time in store. Don't want to be in on camera? Don't work retail. Perfectly legal in California too. No reasonable expectation of privacy.

“ Why would someone be so petty as to videotape a $12 an hr worker?”See the above post about dm entering garden center….. the point is , they get a kick out of it.I once heard the tale of how the night crew got a phone call from the DM……he supposedly said “ looks like you got a lot of freight “ .How would he know? Easy, he was watching them on camera. When the store manager and ASM’s were working overnight because “ company’s comin’” the DM is watching…..and laughing.Gives ‘em something to talk about when they gather for their meetings.Basically it’s a power trip.

I would just take a video of him, why not?

Our DM (who's since been fired) would park behind the store and come thru our garden gate. It was hilarious watching the managers scurry like roaches wetting their pants.

I was always told it was against company policy to take videos of employees without their permission.

I hate leaders like that. Just creates a hostile environment. Weak minded management.

Why would someone be so petty as to videotape a $12 an hr worker. Like, does it just give him some sick satisfaction pulling a "gotcha" on someone who isn't even paid a liveable wage? I would be somewhat more understanding if he was trying to catch management not doing anything. Phuckhead...
