The direction walmart is headed is go broke. It would be a loss to see walmart stores close in mass in this country. Anything woke , crt, or LBQdododah, BLM, DEI is not a money making social program. Oh go green to. EV vans -ha ha . Board of directors and their bonuses is number one.

Yes, the answers are self evident. But, specifically to the article, it’s old old old. And by their own admission, it’s an opinion piece. And, from a source that is not mainstream and by their own admission, a local rag that is considered not even 4th rate. So, to the article, anyone can write an opinion piece that a garbage rag will post. You can, too.
For many insiders, Walmart has changed, and not for the better, since Sam Walton died. Demographically, Walmart store, fulfillment and distribution center racial mix is overwhelmingly non-white. That’s the fact. There’s a socio-economic driver behind that. And that same ratio mix is also at other hourly centric businesses, including fast food, retail, Amazon, etc.
Those are facts.
Walmart has failed to provide a good business / career model to professional workers (typically referred to white collar workers) so it’s attracting less skilled US workers. Eventually, it will catch up to them and there will be a huge shortage of labor for non hourly jobs, while the hourly demand will continue as it is now.
