Thread regarding SAP layoffs

This is bad

You know things are not going well when people in India are getting hit. Employees there are among the cheapest so opting to cut them means things are not looking well for any of us. I'm betting you we'll be seeing more layoffs in the US very soon. I'll be ready for it, I advise all of you to prepare as well.

Why is there so much hate whenever someone asks about Poland on this forum? We're all in this together, but the negative comments connected to posts asking about PL kinda stand out.

Questions about other countries don't create nearly as much negative reactions, so as a Pole I'm just curious.

Obviously not hoping to learn about the actual layoffs, nobody seems to know nothing anyway. Peace and love xoxo

Sales force just announced blowout numbers and $10B more in stock buyback.

This will pressure SAP to deliver big numbers and targeted margin.

I hope we can deliver. Don’t want to see any more layoffs.

It seems they are really laying off a large % of US employees.

Posting in every thread the same question is not very helpful

there was ~14000 employees in India mid-2022 and the plan was to double this number y 2025....
they hire ~4000 people a year in India... and the headcount had reached 19000.

every cluster is a standalone entity and asked to contribute towards job cuts! it has nothing to do with profitability nor does it have to do with growth! its about market perception and following others to cut jobs ahead of the most anticipated global recession ever!

Yes cost is one aspect only having the wrong dev teams in wrong location is another . Just because India is lower cost doesn’t mean that it’s more profitable to only develope there.

You can’t do everything by devs in India even it’s cheaper. Some locations will stay in America or Europe. So layoffs could be everywhere doesn’t matter of the costs.
