And he still has the CTO role at Teradata? No accountability for lack of vision. Most of the responsibility for Teradata being a #CloudLaggard rests on his burning man shoulders.

Yes - when the thought leaders in our industry were seeing the value of cloud and making strategic investments, our "CTO" was fighting it and saying it would never work for enterprise workloads. Plus he was absent when the failed ML and Graph engine failed architecture was developed. He set us back at least 5-7 years instead of leading us into the future. How he still has a job is mind blowing.
OP please clarify since I don't know the history. Are you saying that the CTO has been there 20 years and he was a cloud denier?
The amount of miles he racked over the years…. I wouldn’t be surprised if he is a lifetime platinum on all legacy careers 🤣🤣🤣
SB is the only ELT member that’s been here for 20 years. No leadership or vision. Late to see the obvious benefits of cloud. How does he still have that job?
SB was past his prime in 2010.
So happy to see people realize that SB is a godsend
can't blame just the CTO, the whole gang is incompetent and easily sold on anything
when your management team manage from the text book, copy others, admitted to being subpar, and constantly on the job training, any old timer, despite misguided, is a godsend
