The company recently announced that it was laying off 7,000 workers to cut operating costs, pulling the rug out from under thousands of employees who had dedicated themselves to their work at Disney.

Doubt these lay-offs are going to improve stock price. Disney has got to do a tweak of cultural change it has bombarded Disney lovers with earlier this decade, well, in just a couple of years. Disney is great a creating reimagining, so the tweaks should go smoothly. But, at the same time, this might make just a small influence as Disney's mission will not change.
Disgusting display of greed...why not cut salaries at the top...management truly doesn't care about the lives affected.
