Hi all, I work in dev team in Altera. I wants to change company but not able to do so because of daily office work and filthy politics.
Shall I resign without any offer? And then search the job?
I am not ble to concentrate in studies due to daily work and politics.
Will I be able to get job without any job at hand?
I really wants to completely get away from this company ASAP.

I left Altera and was interviewing even before I resigned. I got an offer that was a bump up in my salary by more than 70%. In addition, the 401K match also doubled. Can't complain and I don't think Altera could come close to that in any negotiations. But I miss the amazing people at Altera that I worked with. I do wish the best for those folks as they deserve the best.
Schedule a meeting in Teams with yourself for all day every day.
At the beginning of each day, start the meeting and change the status to “Available”.
You won’t be shown, “Away” throughout the day.
Spent all your day looking for jobs and interviewing.
Just focus on getting new job..hopefully equivalent or better compensation soon. New job is primary focus. Just do minum to get by at current job until new one. ignore/find humor in current job politics. Take all your vacation before handing in notice ... Give 1 day notice. You decide if you want your "vacation" to be actual work days at new company. "Double pay"
I left Altera 7 months ago, and it was the best decision. I was frustrated after not Happy with Altera.
The grass is some much greener on this side!
Don't panic. Things are going to get better here. I have a plan that will turn things around.
I think yes you can resign and then search for new job. Depending on your country you will have to serve notice period. If you are in India then the actual fun starts for 60 days which includes negations, false promises, buttering from leadership and what not. Have been there couple of times when Altera was still Allscripts. If you are in Pune or Bangalore you have high chances of getting a decent job than in Baroda. In general I would advice anyone reading this to stay away from anything which is related to Allscripts (Veradigm, Altera or whatever new they decide to call themselves). I am glad that I left Allscripts before their recent layoffs. From what I have seen, people who have left Allscripts either voluntary or involuntary have always done well in other organizations who values employees.
