My manager seems surprised that we are not as productive as he expects us to be, and those expectations are higher than ever.
I mean, do they really think that we can't find another job? I believe that their arrogance stems from such thinking.

I think instead of bonus and pay raises, you should have an ice cream social and HR team building exercises
Come on folks, it's just a job. There are far more things more important in your life than your job.
Family
Spiritual
Friendships
Don't let your job dictate what makes you a successful person. Use this as an opportunity to grow and not an opportunity to be an angry person in life. Don't worry, be happy because you can bet your bottom dollar the sun will come out again tomorrow.
Everyone has some value, and can be replaced. It's just a job for living. In the end, everyone will be let go...
I don't understand why an unhappy employee would remain at a company. Each individual is responsible for their own happiness, not the company they work for, not their spouse, not their friends, not their parents. Micron isn't for everyone, neither is Microsoft, Apple, Google, Twitter, Meta, etc.
Welcome to Samsung
Not sure what micron you worked for but that was never the case. Micron is set up in cities that never quite had the prospective available jobs outside their walls, up until now that is. Look at Boise for example. Power to the people, go out there and find ya something better.
I certainly cannot speak to your individual situation, but if your manager is "old school" Micron then perhaps that could explain it. There was a time when Micron employees right down to non-technical support people were fiercely protective of the "their" company to the point of working long weeks with no additional pay and shaming anyone who would not participate. I realize that went away many years ago but there may be a few old timers left.
