Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Transitioning out of this industry

This is the only industry I really have any experience in, so for now I am not even thinking about changing my career, although I see that there are those here who are seriously trying to move into a different direction. I have many reasons why I would leave Dell, but I don't know what are the good reasons to leave the whole industry?

Considering leaving high tech for small scale farming. It's not about money, it's personal satisfaction and no more TPS reports

I'll probably leave the industry and start a new career, got a good package so will seek something new in 2-3 years or so, or maybe later.

Yeah - recently have been having conversations with several in the industry on what other industry to get into. Tech has been brutal over the last 6 years. It seems as though financial incentives have shifted to leadership and the workers - not so much.

Get out of that dinosaur!! Move into a place of relevance. Security? SaaS? Ai/analytics? Cloud?
