I hope that the leadership does not think that layoffs alone will solve all the company's problems.

Do tell! What do you think are the company's problems? I'll suggest a few. Share your thoughts!
- Being too slow to innovate? How long have we been working on AI? And why did it take Open AI (apparently with < 1K employees) for msft to finally make AI look as if it's a real thing?
- Growing too complacent in its own established ways?
- Having too many people still working remotely, from the comfort of their coaches, in their far away towns, when they should instead be in the office, in person, brainstorming with their teams on how to improve lame processes and develop better products?
- Having fewer meetings, better meetings, more focused and action oriented? Literally we have meetings with tens of folks who never say a word; they are just there to fill the Teams space.
- Having fewer manager, who actually are great at leading teams vs just being people's managers. Each manager should lead at a minimum 15 to 20 ppl. Why do we still have managers managing a handful of very senior teams? We are no longer in kindergarten, or are we?
Layoff is never a solution. It is a symptom.
