I never expect any transparency from this company. That's why I ask those who know more to share insights about which teams are affected and how big are these layoffs? I'm referring to the thread below (Layoff declared 03/01 last working day)

Warm notices are only required above 500 employees or a certain Percentage. So 79 people would not trigger a warn notice.
WARN numbers just came out. 79 people notified on 2/15 in SD county.
I know only 2 people leaving on 3/1. They are from different business divisions and are with Qcom for less than 1.5 years. I don't think performance review was the factor this time, but I can say a new operation system implementation took away some of their work.
