I really don't understand why this company works against itself. Why were the top performers cut? Is it that they are hoping for bigger attrition and think they will achieve that by cutting good employees and lowering morale?

I genuinely believe it is to make it look more attractive for a buyout from VC money. Gutting good people and telling us “this isn’t performance based” is pi-s poor performance from the ELT. Why should we care at all? Will bonus get paid out at all or at a significant discount? How are they paying for the millions in shares they gave to the ELT on the 13th!? It’s just so depressing thinking about all the years of service trying to build a career and the ELT is erasing all of it so they can have marginally more. How many more houses, boats, and toys do these people need? The answer is always more.
