Thread regarding Blackbaud Inc. layoffs

Absolutely tone deaf

It would be nice if the CEO, he-l, anyone from the board, could take 30 minutes out of their day to show up for a call to discuss things that have monumental impact on the company instead of shoving the IT manager in front of the angry mob to take the arrows.

It's clear that Stock Price is a greater driver than our mission anymore. Our customers do not deserve this and our talent does not deserve this.

The ELT don't care about employees or culture or clients. They lead a for profit company that answers to shareholders the largest being ClearLake.

They will work to make sure to they maximize shareholder value on the backs of their 3600 employees. Whoops I mean 3600 minus 14%.

Take not Blackbaud employees, dust off your resumes, polish them and find a company that cares. Or you may be the next casualty of AI blind lottery based reductions that start with a dollar amount to cut and pull employees numbers out of a number generator.

Loyalty and hard work at Blackbaud mean nothing. They go after people that have been there over 20 years. Yet the ELT taking a pay cut is unsustainable? The call with Kevin was proof the ELT is gutless. After they seemed to spend the last couple years telling employees not to leave and show some good will was absolutely pi---d away on Tuesday and Friday. If anyone thinks they are valued at Blackbaud, it might be your direct Manager. The higher they go, the less they could give a sh-t. If you don't have your resume updated (Because another one is coming) then YOU are naive.

Kevin spent more time making excuses for poor stock price versus answering questions than providing any meaningful insight. Oh but make sure you sign up with their EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM to help you deal with this shocking news.

I was on the same call. Kevin seemed to be trying to fight the good fight, but his remarks were clearly guarded and he started from a prepared script. The brain drain is going to be significant, and I hope we all get out before the executive team monetizes our misery again. Fu-k Blackbaud.
