Why google is not showing any intention to help laid off engineers to hire back for the jobs they have posted online. They are treating all the laid-off candidates on par with external candidates. I wish they had given access to go/grow so people could apply and reach out the hiring manager directly.

It's been several months. For the record, there have been quite a few rehires. @OP is just more know-nothing blather.
Maybe because external candidates don't have a "Day in the life of a Google employee" tik tok video that got some of these Google employees laid off in the 1st place?
