Thread regarding SAP layoffs

Next round of layoffs

How long are we safe for? A month? Two? It used to be that we shouldn't worry about layoffs for a year at least when a major round was done. Those times are long gone, though. I'm not even sure anymore if the rest of this month will be without additional cuts, not to mention next month.

At least we are safe until the next earnings report for Q1. That will be in April so relax until then. If Q1 is bad, expect more cutting. They can't have a poor bonus payout again for 2023, only cuts will help.

SAP loses about 10,000 folks in turnover each year. If the board is thinking it out, not backfilling those roles will satiate their greed without jumping for another round of cuts.

Attrition and hiring freeze will assure that those areas impacted in 2023 won’t see layoffs again for some time.

Works council protected staff and RISE are the next targets later in ‘23 should SAP miss on margin.

Brian Duffy’s departure makes the above scenario plausible.
