Thread regarding Fossil Inc. layoffs

The sad little boy tears don’t work on me anymore

For once, wouldn't it be refreshing for our leadership to accept responsibility for their lack of judgement, id--tic ideas and blatant mistakes? This time there is no pandemic to blame and yes there’s inflation, but the economic "head winds" aren't the end of the free world. The reinventions of this company changes quicker than any other company I know. One year we're a design house, a couple of years later a technology company and now a direct to consumer company. We have never given much of a cr-p about our wholesale customers and our direct to consumer business is a joke. Have you ever ordered anything from fossil? Used customer service? Have you looked at Fossil social? Getting rid of the workers is sad but part of business. But PLEASE start looking at the mistakes and missteps of the top. That’s where some layoffs need to happen. The track record isn't good. Once again we are late to the game of building a direct to consumer business. Sure, it’s a great buzz phrase. But it has been done over and over. This is a replay of all the other "me too" directives with some tears thrown in for good measure. Okay so that's off my chest. Let's get back to work and wait another year or so for the next pipe dream from our creative visionaries. One thing we know the direction will be on someone's whim with all the same buzz words. Someone should really get our leadership a brain.

Groups like Sutton was designed back in the day when we had great creative innovators and leaders…sadly we now have a sad and cheaply made assortment

I just bought 2 Sutton bags on eBay and the quality and style is great. Hopefully whatever changes are made in the structure of the company, the end product won't be compromised. It's very hard to find good quality these days, which is why I scour eBay. Not sure how old the Sutton style is but it's a perfect example of a nice quality bag. The leather, the stitching and the hardware are beautiful.

And now will come the s-b story of how they won’t be able to give raises/bonuses (or they will give you a small raise/bonus due to the blood sacrifices during layoffs) but the leaders will stuff their pockets full!…oh and of course you will be reminded that you are “lucky you have a job at Fossil!”
