The last few years have been really tough here with lots of rounds of layoffs.
I'm a bit pessimistic in this regard but I'm interested in what you think - - how long will it take before the situation stabilizes and we have somewhat safe jobs we can depend on once again?

depends on what area of the business you're in. disney is going to preserve all it can from the parks and move into resort experiences and sports betting (good luck with that). but the media and content side of the business is unsustainable and while bob will try to squeeze all the licensing revenue he can out of the IP in the short-term, there is no future for that side of the business nor its employees.
I work for another media company that's going through similar changes. My guess is if you can make it to the fall, depending on your position, election season will require more resources in general and media jobs will be safe for another year.
