I have no doubt that being laid off (after the initial stress) can turn out to be a blessing in disguise for many. This is a good article about such experiences [ https://www.bbc.com/worklife/article/20230214-the-workers-finding-silver-linings-in-layoffs ]
I hope that all laid off employees will manage to find better opportunities for themselves.
However, I am also afraid that there will be many who will have to accept much worse offers after Dell. Thoughts?

Or most likely being laid off can paralyze positive changes until you pick yourself up whenever that is
I litterally pooped my pants during my call with the skip and HR.
I would say that is the ultimate catalyst. It was quite the release
I would agree that for many the change may be good. If it’s performance based or you were just bored and need something fresh.
Dell has unfortunately given horrible severance packages and we are in a bad hiring market. Dell didn’t do their employees a solid here.
So you posted this to say "hey everything will be great, but probably not for you"?
HR shouldn't you be sending out sevrance packages?
