The job market is not as bad as some say. Those who have skills will quickly find much better jobs. I recently got a new job, even though I didn't expect it at all. I'm writing this just to give you a little encouragement and support, because I know that many of you are worried about how you will manage on the market now.

What does NCG mean? Seen a lot in the posts here
No one is able to match micron fresh grad salary - not true (as a father of recent engineering BS graduate). Micron NCG salary is right in the middle of industry average and slightly below Bay area average. As for top tier school graduates they are aiming, they are not even closely competitive. Some CA companies pay 2X what micron offers, to let's say UCLA, graduate. They are leveraging H1B grabbing power + they are the only game in Boise town, praying on desperates.
The thing is PE, PIE and manufacturing has non transferable skills unless go back to semiconductor industry. No one is able to match micron fresh grad salary. So I guess everyone needs to realign their expectation
Not really a skill issue. Moving my a-s out of Boise with my family issue
And if you are in good health and un-jabbed, you are really sitting pretty.
