Two Days in the Office for Tech

https://qz.com/walmart-tech-hubs-us-shut-down-office-work-1850111694

I wonder what’s the reaction from Walmart Global Tech workers, especially those in Bentonville and Sunnyvale.

Weren’t we told that WFH was the new normal that was going to be indefinite? Why two days a week? Will they stop at just two days?

This is probably a deal breaker for many.

All performance and productivity from below the leaders of present corporate culture is a reflection of that culture.

They are following the trend of tech companies. They were all about leveraging work from home and stated several times that it would be the new norm. Things won't improve while the Mr Google is in place.

Honestly, the tech folks in ISD did it to themselves. Managers, Senior Managers and directors and above that opened up their mouths and begged the consultants to come in and take their jobs and own the tech business. I would not shed 1 tear for the worthless, spineless POS management team at ISD. They would rather brown nose who ever is above them than stand on their own two feet to do what is right. ISD and David Glass associates, you have been screw3d. Your own managers did it to you. Just get out. Bentonville is going to be like a Deli slum soon.

WFH can't be done because the 100 layers of project management won't be able to hide behind the fact that they can barely operate an email or spreadsheet. They can pretend to be busy by walking up to your desk every day to ask questions that have already been answered, walking around holding their laptops open, like complete dummyfucks, who have no idea how to manage simple laptop lid and power settings, let alone not parking like an a--hole.

Funny the tech hubs in the US, where walmart's largest market is and always will be, have been shed, yet, the over-decade-long IDC sh-t show still seems to be untouched. For the uniformed, IDC is where 7500 "engineers" exist who have created bullsh-t after bullsh-t, and continually demonstrate their complete lack of understanding when it comes to Walmart's largest market, the US.

Here's to a collapse at Walmart that shudders all the cucks who sold out their homeland to a bunch of bobble heads who think that joining a zoom meeting during the pandemic was a fu----g struggle. Come work in a store, engineer/manager, you waste of resources.

Should be 5 days in the office, the workload isn’t getting done with you sitting home and 2 days won’t be enough.
