8 out of 10 people I know at Salesforce are VPs and above. It’s a crazy structure like Oracle

still a lot of bloat. vice president reporting to vice president. I even saw a senior director reporting to a director. I mean that is maddening. I gotta lay off some of these managers.
Sales people are given bloated bs titles anyway, to make their customers feel speshul. Every banker my company deals with is a “vice president”. They’re all IC mouth-breathing id--ts but, the first time you deal with one (before you realize the schtick), you’re like “Oh! I’m dealing with a VP. I must be important.” Nope. Just dealing with a dolt with a fancy empty title.
Ditto salesforce and every other sales company. The titles don’t mean anything except a cheap ego stroke to the id--t holding it and the customers.
I don't think the OP means 8/10 people at SF are VPs. 8/10 the OP know at SF are VP and up.
It must be nice to travel in those circles.
The company is nowhere near 80% VPs.
