But everyone else has to be in office 4 days a week. I miss something here?

I work for a tech company...functions go in once a week, example finance every Thursday. Record results, no layoffs etc....Qualcomm back to 4 days a week that sucks! No thanks.
Sounds like old managers who still work under out of sight out of mind style.
Let’s spend millions to purchase and implement a hotelling software for people to reserve cubicles for hybrid working models.
Next, let’s spend more money to take away employee cubicles and office spaces and convert them into spaces people can reserve under the hotel system.
And now, not even a year into the hybrid work model that they’ve spent all this money on, they want us to come back 4 days a week. What does that mean? Likely a reversal of what they’ve done to convert spaces into MWE, wasting more money in doing so.
They contradict themselves so much - we need to cut costs and save money, that might mean reduce headcount. But then later on introduce something ridiculous like this that’s just a blatant waste of money, time, and effort of what we’ve already implemented.
What I’m wondering is, how many more headcount reductions are they going to make to pay for the expenses of converting everything back so that people can rto 4 days a week?
Stop your whining you cry babies. Get your as--s into work and do your jobs
CEO consistently looks after the business. Shift has now focused to automotive so he wants everybody in traffic taking Teams calls from the car. Brilliant!
Not a surprise this double talk, now employer has upper hand so he is going with the agenda always loved which is wfoffice…..
If in person collaboration is so important- why does Q keep offshoring jobs? Doesn’t make any sense
AK and CA here:
you have a choice if you chose not to be in 4 days a week or else
Everything can be managed remotely using 5G chipset except WFH. employees should come to office.
It is really funny that CEO was talking about how Q products are used for remote works and conference settings and then he asks everyone be in the office 4 days a week since in-person collaboration is important. Basically he is against his company products and then he wants to layoff people to save cost rather than increasing revenue by encouraging more remote works for Q and companies globally.
