Starting this week many will realize how much more is expected of them now that many teams have been decimated in layoffs. And a good portion of them will decide that it's not worth it anymore and leave Micron. I think this is part of their strategy. Cut a certain number of people, overload others with work, and watch as they walk away without severance.

I agree , I don’t think this layoff cycle is being handled well at all. No transparency, lots of secrecy.
Problem is market is pretty bad right now so I don't know how attrition can happen at a high rate. Intel and Lam did layoffs, Nvidia is in hiring freeze, AMD is also somewhat in a hiring freeze, AMAT is hiring mostly NCGs, and tech in general is in a downturn. ASML is the only one hiring a lot but that looks like a bubble looking to burst.
The layoff is a business decision. And you are being a little emotional.
Decimation is not based on ratings, performance or accomplishments. It's purely vengeance by taking this opportunity to chop people by top. Reputation of this company spoiled in the market. Those already in their job in this company do not have security of their job. Worries remains and felt sitting on the thorns. Never know what going to happen to whom in the next moment.
