Paid out for layoff?

Husband was told Tues and official off on Friday but only deposit to account was regular paycheck and vacation due to state law? Anyone else get their severance compensation checks? Bonus checks?

No need to spend my husbands money honey, mama’s got her own bank and investments. That is why I retired first!

In most states If the termination is involuntary the final paycheck must be paid within 24 hours of the last day worked. Request your final paycheck. They will owe you for every day they don't pay you.

Received standard Dell severance package in Sept. Payment took almost 4 weeks.

Interesting. My company had to add 2 weeks pay due to delay then paperwork overnighted and payment withinn final two weeks pay. Thought that was law. Does it vary by state?

Regular pay comes this week. And severance after. As stated above you sign the paperwork and send it back.

agreement will be emailed within 5 business days after separation date. It must be signed and returned, and then the severance payout will be within 30 days of receipt of the signed agreement.
