Thread regarding Amazon.com layoffs

Looking for more info on the next round

All we know so far is that it's coming sometime during this month, which is not a lot. I'm shocked there have been no more leaks regarding who and where will be the most affected. I've been trying to find more info but it's mostly the same things repeated all over. Is there any way to find out something more before the actual day comes around?

That's because there are "critical" and top performing employees who will leave. So even if they don't pay severance, they won't be able to operate and it will spiral. There are also legal reasons that including discrimination and misleading virtual/remote contractual language in agreements. They've got their hand in a can of worms.

Not sure why Amazon is reducing employee count by layoffs instead of saying if you work from home, you do not have job. This way they do NOT have to pay severance.

"just over" 100 employees across gaming divisions that include Prime Gaming, Game Growth and Amazon Games' San Diego studio:

Roughly 9000:

Twitch 20%
PXT 14%
Devices 2%
Ads 3%
AWS 1.4%

You can also expect there to be more role reductions in the coming quarters. Not over yet.
