Can somebody please explain to me what's the point in training employees just to lay them off the first chance they get? This has happened in my group twice in the last twelve months and it's starting to irritate the he-l out of me. We hire them, invest money in them, and then get rid of them. Where's the logic in that?

I was a FSE in training (supposed to be a full year of shadowing senior FSEs). I lasted eight months before being laid off. Who knows the investment amount in training me and then cutting the leash. Lot laid off last February. Honestly, I feel like it was the best move for my personal mental health. Still focused on looking for gainful employment two months later. As far as a good business model? Man, it just doesn't seem very focused...just my two cents.
Federal Sales TSR. We get initial 2 week bootcamp and continued training.
curious what group you're in?
Your team gets trained???
unfortunately, that is business. Nobody has a crystal ball to know the condition of the economy in a year. When times are good and you're busy, you hire...when the economy slips, you fire. Come on, you have to know that.
