Q:: How long before TDC disappears (bought, taken private, Chapter 11, etc)? Important for people to gauge the remaining time/commitment.

Teradata has several big onprem customers that are happy feeding the beast to just barely keep the lights on. These type of customers will keep Teradata around (like it always has) but, there wont be much new growth.
Vantage Cloudlake is a bug filled mess + doesn't compare with many of the new up and coming options.
Customers are starting to test out different options at scale. Once they feel comfortable they'll move workloads off Teradata and onto better, faster, cheaper, more reliable.
