These were layoffs all around the globe, not just in the US. I know people are tired of outsourcing and seeing our jobs being shipped abroad, but there's no reason to adjust the narrative in this particular case when we are all in the same cr-ppy situation right now. Just my 2 cents.

Cheap labor(H1bs) and Outsourcing messed up American job market. So many people lost their jobs and career in last 20 years. And they don't even know how to work. Most of them learn at job and you have to teach them.
Should you feel sorry for a Kyndryl employee who got the axe (even maybe yourself), remember this: The ENTIRE OUTSOURCING MODEL is based on firing existing personnel and replacing them with new staff. In other words, somebody back in the day got canned and replaced with Kyndryl employees.
It's easy to view oneself as indispensable, but that has never been true in modern business. Most employees will probably be fired at least once in their lives. Kyndryl employees, more than anyone, should know this.
