Reducing hours for draw commission colleagues makes absolutely zero sense. This has not happened in all my years with this company. And since the average hours ticker to qualify for health insurance starts over today, I'm sure they will be magically finding customers to assist to get those extra 2 hours in.

No one can afford furniture right now.
Can't sell anthing if your not there - no commission made
Blame the economy. Everyone is broke
No. Commission comes out of draw first. So the more hours we work the more we have to pay toward draw before actual commission kicks in. If you don't have enough merchandise delivered one week to pay back draw, then you go into deficit and have to make it up the next week. So in reality not doesn't cost the company anything to let us work more hours. It has been so slow in big ticket, with next to no advertising the past couple months that even million-dollar sellers are going in and out of deficit. And many are having to burn PTO hours for their missing hours just to make ends meet.
Reduced hours translates to bigger commission checks amirite?
