It reminds me of the theather play "Waiting for Godot". Two people on the stage for 2 hours waiting and wondering, if Godot is coming.
I think all the MyCloud customers are in this play: Am I going to be able to access my data on MyCloud in my living room today, tomorrow, next week? Someone was able to access my data in MyCloud.

Couldn’t happen to a nicer ELT. They fire all the experienced staff in BUs across the company, including cyber ops and security and are left with lame DG minions. Look out below as this ELT further destroys us.
Someone fell for a phishing scam and gave access to an ADL account. Hackers had a field day and IT security found out too late. I wonder how long WD can afford to have the lights out. And layoffs are definitely going to happen after this major profit loss, just hope you’re not on the list of people getting cut.

Knowing how WD reacted to unfavorable circumstances in the past, unfortunately it is very possible that the layoff %-age could increase due to this breach if it is not resolved anytime soon. A few important projects are affected tremendously by this.

i had forgotten to take down my reverse SSH tunnels when i left. IT was never very good at figuring out how to secure their network, especially if you were already inside.

This was not a hack clearly managerial incompetence. I contacted global IT on Friday. Voice recording says testing DUO and claimed their system was down. Found out that security was issuing tokens for access to the network but ran out. Looks like they rolled out a new plan and expected everyone to jump on board. I decline to contract with a 3rd party to do my job. Ha and DUO is a Cisco product go figure
