You no longer have vacation. Vacation is for going to the doctor and covering lates due to inclement weather etc. Words right out of the mouth of the HR lady.

They really need to change the attendance policy to make it easier for people with illnesses to go to the doctor and take care of their health. If they want to keep any employees that have any sort of marketable skills at all. UP is operating in the 1800s still.
Why weren’t the unions allowed to negotiate the attendance policy?
Why is the attendance policy and sick days so important? I would be more concerned about who the next CEO is going to be. No, we should all be concerned with attendance and sick time instead of worrying about whether or not you'll be around to use them.

We ALL got 4 paid sick days, 3 of our vacation days can be used as sick days. Stop spreading BS douche bags!!!!!!
That’s a lie also. There aren’t separate attendance policies per shop. These are systemwide policies. More disinformation just to rile people up.
It’s exactly true at my shop, so the people saying it’s not true are full of shitzu!! Maybe it’s not system wide but it’s definitely that way at my shop. 2 layoffs in a year and your in mapps
So, are you seriously saying that 2 hours and 1 second is 50 points. And 100 points puts you into discipline?
The new mechanical department attendance policy is better. You are allowed 100 points before discipline. Anything over two hours is 50 points in a day. A day is 50 points. So it’s pretty easy to stay in compliance.

That’s not true. You can miss two full days and one late before getting disciplined in 365 days. Nothing is excused though. Not tornados or earthquakes etc. So if you have any thing going on in your life. Probably should plan on working somewhere else:
