They will always continue to happen, the mass ones like we experienced are more rare. Pre-pandemic we had about 27k employees and we grew by 3k during Covid due to hiring and acquisitions of other companies. This was essentially a correction to the over hiring and also trimming the fat of really odd positions. I wouldn't expect another mass lay off like this but I am keeping my resume updated and am being prepared regardless. The economy is horrible so saving money and always looking for something better isn't a bad idea.
There are definitely more site closures coming but that doesn't necessarily mean layoffs.
I wouldn't expect a large layoff announcement, but I would expect continued small ones that are unannounced.
