What the best option? Emerson, Fortive, or Keysight?

Is the best option not to apply for a Finance job there at this time?
I am considering a Finance job here at NI but concerned about being last hired first fired if NI ends up being sold to Emerson, Fortive, or Keysight.
Is the severance package half way decent?
Emerson is the only realistic one, the others would be huge antitrust problems
How did the company get to the point of wanting to sell itself?
Best option for whom? Shareholders? Employees? Not the same answer. And believe me, the executives will heavily try to benefit only one of these groups…
