They thought companies who don't participate in ESG would be alienated from society. They never considered the possibility that they'd be alienating themselves from their customers, which is exactly what's happened.

Same will apply to management, salaried and non management -cast members. DEI is the number one “key” at Disney! Minorities will be honored and retained, at all costs to others, no matter how talented, productive or liked. While, yes, a small number of minorities will be laid-off, it will not rep the same percentage of the non-minority, especially in the US Disney market. (This is a combination a an economic-based and DEI-focuses lay-off, so no need to compare to the COVID lay-offs.).
