Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Undervalued?

I exceeded expectations during my year review and received no bad feedback. I got a 1% “raise” but my job changed drastically with triple responsibility. Any advice?

this year you get a raise...next year..someone else may get it. THat's how it was explained to me.

I feel bad that my colleague was laid off and because he’s gone I finally got the promo and 20% raise I’ve been trying to get. Just not happy that I now have it and it’s most likely because they cut a really good person just for the numbers. I just don’t get the whole numbers game with these layoffs.

same here, although I got an increase from 2.33%. It is what it is and for now I am happy that I still have a job.

It’s just a sign o' the times. Learn to like it or move on. However, most companies are reading from the same playbook so caution is advised.
